There are many items available from our store that can be "drop shipped" to you (you buy from us and we ship to you). However, when the item is a piece of fine furniture that cannot safely be shipped UPS or Fed Ex, we ship via trucking that regularly handles fine furniture.
This method, while ultimately the safest method, is a bit more complicated. There are, however, options from which to choose.
- You, the customer, find a moving and storage facility near you that has a loading dock - this information is available through a quick phone call to your local service.
- Find a Retail Store or Delivery Service to receive your shipment; ask if they will receive freight (a drop ship order) for you and deliver it to your home. When this has been confirmed, provide us with the specific address being shipped to and we will then provide a shipping cost to you. This is a common method that we use often, so you should not experience any difficulty arranging delivery in this manner.
Barbo Furniture's freight coverage insurance ends when the piece is moved off the truck from the manufacturer - you are responsible for all shipping costs from the moment the furniture is delivered to your destination through the delivery to your home. Confirm shipping liabilities with the service before you hire them.
